Mamta Mohandas is an Indian actress and singer, who was born in Manama, Bahrain on 14 November 1985. She is the daughter of father Ambalappat Mohandas and mother Ganga Mohandas. She studied at Indian School, Bahrain, and then she completed her graduation from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.
Mohandas began a relationship with entrepreneur Prajith Padmanabhan, and they got married on 28 December 2011. But, the couple split after a couple of months and divorced in 2012.
Mamta started her acting career with Indira’s role in the Malayalam film Mayookham in 2005, and she appeared as a host in her first television show Kaiyil Oru Kodi in 2012. She played Charulatha’s role in her debut Tamil film Sivappathigaram in 2006, and she made a debut in Telugu films with Dhanalakshmi’s role in the film Yamadonga in 2007. Mohandas starred as Ramya’s role in her first Kannada film Gooli in 2008, and she made debut her singing career with the song Rakhi Rakhi of the film Rakhi in 2006. She is very famous for her Madhumitha Ashokan’s role in the film Baba Kalyani in 2006, and she also popular as Dhanalakshmi’s role in the film Yamadonga in 2007.
