Lakshmi Manchu is an Indian film actress, producer, and television presenter, also known by her full name Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna. Her father is actor Mohan Babu and her mother is Vidya Devi. She has two stepbrothers Vishnu Manchu and Manoj Manchu from her stepmother Nirmala Devi Manchu and father Mohan Babu. Manchu studied at Oklahoma City University.
Manchu began dating Andy Srinivasan and the couple got married on 4 August 2006. They have a daughter Vidya Nirvana Manchu.
Lakshmi made the debut acting career with Sarasvati Kumar’s role in the English television show Las Vegas in 2004, and she played Najma’s role in her first English film The Ode in 2008. She played Irendri’s role in her debut Telugu film Anaganaga O Dheerudu in 2011, and for which she won the Nandi Award for Best Villain and nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Manchu appeared as Satya Bhosle’s role in her first Hindi film Department in 2012, and she portrayed Celina’s role in her first Tamil film Kadal in 2013. She is well known for her role in the Telugu films Gundello Godari (2013) and Chandamama Kathalu (2014).
