Katey Sagal is an American actress, singer, and songwriter, also known by her birth name Catherine Louise Sagal. She was born in Los Angeles, California, United States on January 19, 1954. She is the daughter of mother Sara Zwilling, screenwriter, and father Boris Sagal, a television director. Sagal has two younger sisters Jean Sagal and Liz Sagal, both are actresses, and two younger brothers David Sagal, an attorney, and Joey Sagal, an actor. She studied at Palisades High School in Pacific Palisades and then she joined the California Institute of the Arts.

Sagal began dating musician Freddie Beckmeier in 1975 and they got married on May 1, 1977. They divorced in 1981. Later, she got married to actor Fred Lombardo in 1986 and they divorced in 1989. Then, she started dating drummer Jack White in 1990 and they tied the knot on November 26, 1993. She gave birth to their first child a daughter Sarah Grace White on 7 August 1994, and they welcomed their second child a son, Jackson James White, on 1 March 1996. They divorced in 2000. After that, she began a relationship with screenwriter Kurt Sutter in 2003 and they tied the knot on October 2, 2004. They have a daughter Esmé Louise Sutter, who was born on January 10, 2007, through a surrogate mother.

Early Life

Katey made debut her acting career with Girl patient’s role in the television series The Failing of Raymond in 1971, and she played Louise’s role in her first film Maid to Order in 1987. She is very popular as Peggy Bundy’s role in the television series Married… with Children from 1987 to 1997, and she is also known for Gemma Teller Morrow’s role in the television series Sons of Anarchy from 2008 to 2014, and for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Sagal provided the voice of Turanga Leela’s role in the animated television series Futurama from 1999 to 2013. She appeared as Edna Hyde in the television series That ’70s Show in 1999, and she starred as Katherine Junk in the film Pitch Perfect 2 in 2015.
