Meena is an Indian film actress, who was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on 16 September 1976. She is the daughter of mother Raj Mallika and father Durairaj. She completed her schooling at Vidyodaya School, Chennai, and then she attended the University of Madras, Chennai.
Meena got married to software engineer Vidyasagar on 12 July 2009, and They have a daughter Nainika, born in 2011.
Meena began her career as a child artist with the Kidnapped child’s role in the film Nenjangal in 1982, and she played a lead role as Sumathi in the Telugu film Navayugam in 1990. She appeared as Maya’s role in her first Bollywood film Parda Hai Parda in 1992, and she is very famous for Seetha’s role in the Telugu film Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu in 1991. Meena is also known for Kannamma’s role in the Tamil film Bharathi Kannamma in 1997, and for which she won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award, Filmfare Award, and Cinema Express Award for Best Actress in Tamil. She also played a memorable role in films includes Rhythm (2000), Ivan (2022), and Swathi Muthu (2003).
