She was born in Riverside, California, United States on February 1, 1987, as Ronda Jean Rousey. Her father is Ron Rousey and her mother is AnnMaria DeMars, who winner of the World Judo Championship in 1984. She has a younger sister Julia DeMars and two older sisters Maria Burns-Ortiz and Jennifer Rousey. She was homeschooled and then she attended high school in Jamestown, North Dakota but she dropped out before graduation.
Boyfriend and Relationships
Rousey had been in a relationship with a martial artist, Timothy DiGorrio from 2012 to 2013. She also dated mixed martial artist, Brendan Schaub from 2013 to 2014. Later, she started dating mixed martial artist Travis Browne in 2015, and they announced their engagement in April 2017 after he had proposed to her under a waterfall in New Zealand. The duo tied the knot on August 26, 2017, in Hawaii. She gave birth to their first child a daughter La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne in September 2021.
Career Information
Ronda is well known for being the first UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, and she is also an Olympic medal winner in Judo at the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008. When she was 15 years old, she first joined the United States Olympic Team, as a Judoka. She earned her first gold medal in World Junior and Pan American Judo Championship in 2004. Rousey started her career as a mixed martial artist against Hayden Munoz on August 6, 2010, and defeated her. She appeared as herself in her debut television show Honoo-no Taiiku-kai TV in 2011, and she played Luna’s role in her first film The Expendables 3 in 2014.
