Meera Jasmine is an Indian actress, who also known by her full name Jasmine Mary Joseph. She was born in Kuttapuzha, Thiruvalla, Kerala, India on 15 February 1982. Her mother is Aleyamma Joseph and her father is Joseph. She has a brother George Joseph, an assistant cinematographer, and sister Jiby Sara Joseph and Jeny Susan Joseph, both actresses. Jasmine attended Bala Vihar, Kuttapuzha, Thiruvalla, and then she went to Marthoma Residential School, Kuttapuzha, Thiruvalla. She completed her higher education from Assumption College, Changanasserry, Kerala.
Jasmine began dating Anil John Titus and the couple got married on 9 February 2014.
Meera began her acting career with Meera’s role in the Malayalam film Soothradharan in 2001, and she played Priya’s role in her first Tamil film Run in 2002. She gained fame for her Priyamvada’s role in the film Kasthoorimann in 2003, and for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Malayalam Actress. She also appeared as Shahina’s role in the movie Paadam Onnu Oru Vilapam in 2003, and she won the National Film Award, Kerala State Film Award, and Asianet Award for Best Actress. Jasmine began her career in Telugu films with Janani Satya’s role in the film Ammayi Bagundi in 2004, and she also potryed Alamelu’s role in the movie Maurya in 2004.
